My Jeep is *&%$ again.

Well, the Jolly Green Giant died on me again.  About three weeks ago, I went to work, parked it on street-side parking and when I came back to it after my shift, it wouldn't start.  It stayed there for about a week and a half, then my buddy jay helped me get it back to my place.
My pal Justin has bailed me out dozens of times, and here he is, once again, standing over one of my broken down cars.
My buddy Lay under the truck, pulling the starter.  Yes, it was the starter.  The battery was good, the fuses were all good, the relays were good and there was a good strong current getting to the starter.  Justin's arranging for new starter for me and hopefully him and Lay will be able to get the Jolly Green Giant up and running again.

Bigger Footprints

My buddy Jay helped me source out a set of used Yokohama Mud Diggers a long time ago, back when I still at the blue monster, but I never got around to putting them on my truck until now.  Jay knew a guy that does on-site tire mounting and balancing and I finally got the Mud Diggers mounted to a set of factory steelies.  It was time anyways, as the steel belt was showing through the tires I had on before.
Jay had to take off the front bumper cover because the larger tires were rubbing like crazy when I turned.  When I find some money, he's going to help me build a new steel front bumper.

Coolant Leak and other little setbacks.

The Jolly Green Giant was a bit leaky when I first got it, but after a while, it was getting worse.  On really hot days, it would actually gush out.
I think there's something wrong.
You can see the coolnt pooling by the base of the stem there.
At first, we thought it was the base of the stem leading to the top rad hose.
A piece of the belt.
Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that it was the bypass hose that was leaking.
You can see the deformed rubber around the clamp.
New upper rad hose, new thermostat (just in case), new stem gasket, new belt, coolant.
With the a/c compressor and alternator removed, it's pretty evident where the leak was coming from.
New bypass hose and new idle pulley (which was also pooched).
New driver's side mirror with no cracks.
The metal is all pitted from the coolant.
The old bypass hose next to the new one.

New stem attached with a new gasket.

Small tear in the belt.

I saw this one parked near the Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park.

I see this one all the time around Oak and 70th.
