Finally got a front Bumper for the Jolly Green Giant!

I finally got a front bumper for the Jolly Green Giant.  My original plan was to buy a bunch of steel, and have Jay oversee me welding a pile of metal together and hope it came out as a bumper.  But Jay decided to scrap his Cherokee so I took his front bumper off his hands.

The donor car.

Jay hammering the shit out of my factory bumper, leaving have of the moon on his driveway.

I'll have to get some better pictures one of these days.

Jeep in Moosejaw

Back in February, I was in Regina for work for a few weeks and on the weekend, a few colleagues and I went to Moosejaw. When I

Is that supposed to be a Jeep?

Haha, this vehicle reminds me of two movies:  Fight Club and Cars.  Why Fight Club?  Remember that scene when the two of them are on the bus and they're looing at that men's underwear ad "Is that what a man is supposed to look like?"  It also reminds me of Cars for the outtake scene where the SUV's with the bling-blings are going off-road for the first time.

I hate all these new crossovers....they're just vehicles with identity crisis.  Is it a lowered truck, is it a lifted minivan or station wagon?  WTF is it supposed to be?

Wash Me

I was out on New Year's Day with my parents and I spotted this new Grand Cherokee in a parking lot.

I like my old ZJ better.....I think it has more character.

I think I've only ever washed the Jolly Green Giant once since I got it earlier this year....
How the hell did I get mud on the roof?

My Jeep is *&%$ again.

Well, the Jolly Green Giant died on me again.  About three weeks ago, I went to work, parked it on street-side parking and when I came back to it after my shift, it wouldn't start.  It stayed there for about a week and a half, then my buddy jay helped me get it back to my place.
My pal Justin has bailed me out dozens of times, and here he is, once again, standing over one of my broken down cars.
My buddy Lay under the truck, pulling the starter.  Yes, it was the starter.  The battery was good, the fuses were all good, the relays were good and there was a good strong current getting to the starter.  Justin's arranging for new starter for me and hopefully him and Lay will be able to get the Jolly Green Giant up and running again.

Bigger Footprints

My buddy Jay helped me source out a set of used Yokohama Mud Diggers a long time ago, back when I still at the blue monster, but I never got around to putting them on my truck until now.  Jay knew a guy that does on-site tire mounting and balancing and I finally got the Mud Diggers mounted to a set of factory steelies.  It was time anyways, as the steel belt was showing through the tires I had on before.
Jay had to take off the front bumper cover because the larger tires were rubbing like crazy when I turned.  When I find some money, he's going to help me build a new steel front bumper.
