Spuhrs aren't new too me, but as soon as I heard of FDE ones at Go Big Tactical, , I fell for it hook, line and sinker, and had to have one, lol!
With the LE/MIL discount, it worked out to be the best price I've paid for a brand new Spuhr.
Also, the service was outstanding from Go Big Tactical. The delivery was fast and the service was amazing, with personalized e-mail notifications when the order was placed, to when it shipped to when it arrived at my door.
The Spuhr came with a bunch of cool stickers I plan to trigger Liberals with (J/K).
The mount came with the instruction manual, the mounting wedge (which won't work with certain scopes like the Steiner M5Xi), and a bag of screws.
The finish on these things are perfect as one would expect on a mount that costs more than some entry level glass.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to throw my Coyote Brown M5Xi into this, but in the end, I decided I didn't want to have to re-zero the 50 so I just threw my black M5Xi into it.
I was okay with zero MOA because my 50 already has a 40moa top rail, and my 338 has a 20....figured I had enough adjustment in the scopes I wouldn't need to add any more cant.
Onto my 338.
Under natural sunlight, you can see the difference in colour between the Spuhr and the tan Cadex Lite Strike chassis.
The tan from my LRT-3 might be a better match, but I probably won't bother swapping mounts just for the sake of trying to match the colour.
Anyway, more pics:
The color difference is actually not that noticeable in person. 50 shades of FDE, lol!
Also, picked up another LRA bipod and replaced the Harris that was on there before. To be honest, I like the Harris just fine. They deploy fast, they're easy to use, and they're tough as hell. The LRAs just look awesome, lol!
